.....am I too old to Learn to Sing?

As a vocal coach I get asked all kinds of things but the question I love the most is 'Am I too old to learn how to sing?,  The statement I have a love /hate relationship with the most is 'You can't teach an old duck new tricks.' I suppose you may feel like you qualify as an 'oldie' anywhere from your 20's to your 90's and I mention this with extreme confidence as I have heard it both from my students in their 20's and my Grandfather who is 92. The truth is you are never too old to improve both your singing voice and your speaking voice. For those of you who are in your 20's and claim that you're too old, bear in mind that some voices are not fully settled until they are in their 30's. My voice coach claims that his voice as a 50 year old is the best he's experienced yet and I have personally taught people in their 60's and 70's whose voices dramatically improve in only 20-30minutes. If you've always dreamed of learning how to sing I suggest entertaining that thought just a little bit longer then drop me a line as I can guarantee you will be pleasantly surprised.
